S4F STORY

It all started in 2013 in preparation for the Budapest World Championships. During the training camp before the competition with the Italian foil team, Luca felt so grateful to be able to physically prepare these amazing athletes. Although, he struggled to find information about S&C specifically for the Fencing sport, and so, he had to rely on his knowledge from University in sport science and experience developed in fencing clubs and training camps.

There he had this idea of creating something completely new in the sport of Fencing, something that in other sports was being implemented and adding to the success of the athletes and teams, but had not yet been translated into Fencing due to its particular nature.

Over the years that followed Luca built up more and more experience in the field of S&C specifically for fencing, he obtained a number of professional certifications along with a master degree in strength and conditioning in the UK.

We all know how 2020 went, so one day during the infinite lockdowns, busy with zoom calls and athletes management, Luca decided it was the right moment to create this new project. He wanted to make an impact on the fencing community at a larger scale, truly believing he could make a difference for every single athlete and coach if he could find the way to share his knowledge with other great coaches around the world. The mission was clear from the beginning, to make a positive impact on the fencing community and provide scientific knowledge and practical applications about physical preparation, in an easy way, that everyone could understand.

The options S4F provides are meant to implement the free information everyone can access and personalise the services according to the specific needs.

This is how S4F was born and why Luca is dedicating his time and focus to this project.
